Constructed between 1954 and 1956, the 45-story Mobil Building is among the largest stainless steel skyscrapers in the world, designed by Harrison & Abramovitz in the International and Moderne styles. It was named for Mobil, the tenant that occupied half the building when it was completed. The New York City landmark, adjacent to Grand Central Station, is now owned by real estate investor David Werner.

Management company Jones Lang LaSalle hired Royal to restore the steel-clad façade of decorative metal panels and remove more than a decade of excess oxidation and debris. Despite the challenge of this enormous undertaking, we completed the project in a record time of less than 75 days, using custom materials to restore the exterior.
