About the Role
As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for leading the growth and expansion of our exterior restoration and roofing division in New York City. You will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, developers, and property managers, and drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of contacts in the construction industry, a deep understanding of the NYC market, and a proven track record in generating new business within the exterior restoration and roofing sector.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the company's presence and market share in exterior restoration and roofing services in NYC.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, architects, developers, and property managers.
Collaborate with the project management and estimating teams to develop competitive proposals and bid on relevant projects.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitors, and potential areas for growth.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance the company's visibility and network with key stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry regulations, building codes, and emerging technologies related to exterior restoration and roofing.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing materials, presentations, and sales collateral.
Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the construction industry.
Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets, specifically within the exterior restoration and roofing sector in New York City.
Strong network of contacts within the NYC construction industry, including architects, developers, property managers, and other key stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of exterior restoration and roofing services, including relevant materials, techniques, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and drive business growth.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
